Pretty Rubble: One Woman's Story

 HAPPY BELATED BDAY FIANCE!!!!

Sun....Pisces
Moon...Virgo (perfect for housecleaning and organization!)
Time...11:37am
Mood...so-so (so much on my mind...time to remember to b-r-e-a-t-h-e)
Weather...66 degrees and clear in (Far cry from the 83 I enjoyed in FL last week!)
Sound...muffled voice of fiance talking to people on the phone.

A SPECIAL BELATED BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO MY FIANCE WHO TURNED 45 YESTERDAY....AND TO THINK I'VE KNOWN HIM SINCE HE WAS 13!!!! YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BABY!!!!!

QuoteDiva sez: "It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not. -James Gordon, M.D.

I wanted to write a post and play catch up with your blogs yesterday while I was sitting around someone's house dog sitting. But as bad luck should have it...internet wasn't available to ME. I was sooo angry...I had really counted on having 10 hours of nothing but you and me and then I didn't have the special password to make it happen

So instead I made some cards (I make my own.) and I watched an old Quentin Tarentino movie that fiance wouldn't have been able to stomach...(he's a Pisces Rising...he doesn't go in for real brutality and war movies...too sensitive.) "Reservoir Dogs"

I've always liked his movies. But they will be movies I watch on my own. And he has that new one coming out with Bruce Willis.

Anyway...I told Randy (of Masturbation Bra fame) he had inspired me to post about Famous People I had met. I was going to do that.

But I also wanted to post about my fiance as it WAS his bday....

But as time is running out for me to play on my MacBook today...let me in short tell you what a wonderful man he is....he is sensitive, intelligent, witty, kind, a great cook, doesn't yell, affectionate and much more romantic than me! When I knew him as a kid, he reminded me of John Denver! And although he's changed a big...a few more pounds, a lot less hair and a little hard of hearing in one ear (HE DENIES THIS!) He has grown into a hard-working and spiritual man (without overly religious aspect...were on the same page.) And while he's not perfect...he's perfect for me and I'm so glad God/dess has brought him into my life....so what if we were 43....better late than never...and we figure we have 40 years together anyway!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr. H.!

PS)Hey Randy...Famous people will have to wait.....maybe tomorrow if the dam don't bust and the crik' don't rise!

The trip was as wearing as ever....I'm sick and damned tired of road trips. For years I never went anywhere but in the past year I've been on the road for what equals a month. I'm sick of the driving, the food on the road, staying at hotels or other people's homes....

I'm in the doghouse with my mother in law to be. I finally said enough was enough to her bad mouthing the two people that love her the most and have done the most to prolong her life...her son and daughter. But I am especially angered at how disrespectful and frustrated at how absolutely clueless she is as to how sick she was and how my fiance stayed by her side and lined up care for her when she insisted on being in her own run down, mildew filled, musty, "sick house" So what does she do, she fires the help and is back with her handful of help that simply look at her like a cash cow. They are not medically trained. They could care less if she lives or dies. The yes her all the time to stay in her good graces....she is a good soul but a stupid woman and now as she gets older her mind isn't even half as good as it once was for making sound decisions BUT she isn't nuts ENOUGH for her kids to take over fully. Were in gray area.

I finally just walked out when I heard her bad mouthing them while they weren't around. She was talking to her on again off again maid and after the fourth, "Stupid-Ass Youngins'" I started to get up and leave (I was in a spare bedroom in the back...she thought I was asleep.) Suddenly I hear my name. She reels me into her madness. I got up, grabbed my crap and stormed out...didn't say a thing. She must have been taken aback to know I had been up and heard EVERYTHING she said!!! She was caught red handed!

I don't need this family drama. Sometimes you can streamline people out of your life and sometimes you can't....I have decided to distance myself from this woman for the duration of her life which is coming to an end...the words "pre renal" were mentioned and I know what that means.

My fiance understands, my future SIL and family understands so I don't feel so bad about this estrangement. It's unfortunate but necessary for my peace of mind. I did NOTHING to this woman. She's just losing it. But I don't have to put herself in her path either.

My oldest daughter will soon be moving out with her boyfriend and we get this house up for sale.

We have another one on the market now.

I will be helping fiance out more with his side projects. I will be learning new skills. Not a bad thing...hopefully you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

My life is turning a corner....it's going to be getting frantic, chaotic and I'll be busier than I've been since moving up here last April. I'm looking forward to it however. But I will definitely need to maintain my well being, physically, mentally and emotionally as much as I can.

For now....I am just so glad to be home and fiance and I promised ourselves....well he more than me.....NO MORE ROAD TRIPS for a l-o-n-g time!

Must get back to getting this house pulled together. So much to do, so little time.

 ON THE ROAD......ugh...AGAIN

I love seeing my two youngest kids, 17 and 16...Mr. Gemini Boy and Miss Capricorn BUT I hate these long ass road trips to FL....

The usual stop over in GA (heads up Biggie...once again I'm close but no cigar!) and a stop to check on MIL in Tallahassee and then on down to Hernando Bch to see the kids. (It's been since Xmas break )

And then come home sometime the next week.

But a few things before I go:

Tomorrow I celebrate 5 years divorced! On May 5th I walked out and March 19th, 2002 the divorce was final!!

March 20th would have been our 20th anniv. *ugh* I can't imagine being married 20 years. But I got as far as 14....

O.k., well that's the news, the update and look out...partial solar eclipse tomorrow! Look out people.....doors are closing and other doors are opening and look to 1988 because the same trends and thought patterns are going to be occuring for you now!

And it is almost like everything that you've gone through in the past 19 years is coming to a head! (Hopefully a wonderful thing!!!) Everything you've worked so hard to attain, perhaps, just perhaps will be coming to fruition this year for you!!

We shall see!!!

And I shall see you on the other side....after the roadshow back to my home....aka THE SUNSHINE STATE where I heard its....(don't hate me)
in the 80s during the day!

Bye ya'll! See ya' on the flip flop!

And to my buddy Scoots....I SEE YOU READING THIS!!!

 WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILIN'!

My grandmother was a Kelly....very Irish! I'm thinking of her today with this beautiful prayer which she taught me when I was a little girl. She could say it in Gaelic. I don't remember any of that! But Nanny....this one's for you!

"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you
In the palm of his hand."

And Kat ("wherever you are, hee-hee!
") this is for you too!

A REPRISE FROM 2002....A poem by me about some of my favorite things...."WORDS"

SOME PEOPLE SPEAK WHAT THEY FEEL IN THEIR HEART
OTHERS SAY THINGS THEY DONT MEAN
SOME MEASURE THEIR WORDS OR USE THEM TO HURT
OR STAY SILENT OR SO IT MAY SEEM

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS SO THEY SAY
GESTURES SPEAK THOUSANDS OF WORDS
SOMETIMES YOU MUST HEAR FROM DEEP IN YOUR HEART
WHAT YOU'VE SEEN COULD BE WHAT YOU HEARD

I HEAR WHEN YOU SHOW ME YOU LIKE ME
I HEAR WHEN YOU SHOW THAT YOU CARE
I HEAR WHEN YOU SHOW ME I'M SPECIAL
I HEAR WHEN YOU SHOW ME YOU'RE THERE

FAITH IS BELIEVING WHAT YOU CAN NOT SEE
BELIEVING IS KNOWING IT'S TRUE
THERE'S STILL TWO MORE LINES TO MY POEM
WHEN IT'S RIGHT, I'LL TELL THEM TO YOU!

-pr-

PS) QUIZ TIME: CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE LAST TWO LINES MIGHT HAVE BEEN ABOUT!??
